Pull System Simulation

Workshop Overview

The Pull System simulation demonstrates how an administrative or manufacturing series of process steps can move from a batch orientation to a linear flow.

At the start of the simulation game, the initial environment is typical of a process which has evolved with little or no improvement procedures (functionally oriented, complex process flow, etc.). By the end of the simulation, the process activity is defined by a clear set of objectives, a dedication to the identification and elimination of waste, a greater appreciation of the interdependence of quality and productivity, and the power of employee involvement. The transition is achieved by the participants developing and implementing practical solutions to the problems.

This one-day, self-learning, hands-on, simulation is appealing to employees at any level that require an initial understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
